I have trouble to connect |

A common solution is to manually run the OpenVPN client as administrator, you perform this by right-click on the OpenVPN.GUI icon and pick the user with administrator rights. |

I run the OpenVPN client with admin rights but still no connection |

1. Make sure that you enter your login details properly, our system make difference between upper and lower
case letters. If there is any issues with your login details, you will se the following message in the clients window:
SIGTERM[soft,auth-failure] received, process exiting. |

| 2. Make sure that your antivirus/firewall do not block anything, this is a common solution to many issues. |

| 3. Shut down and restart the OpenVPN client, if it still do not work. Restart your computer. |
|
4.Still not connected? Contact our support service on suport@dreamvpn.us paste the log from the OpenVPN
client window, that way we are able to troubleshoot. |

My internet access is restricted/censured/blocked, what to do? |

If you are not able to connect and you get this error message in the log: TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to
occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity). Then contact our support team |

How does it work? |
|
|
It adds a new network interface which you are working with as if you are working with direct internet connection.
But the IP is different, and all traffic is encrypted. |

The VPN server may be un-reachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection.
This error could also be due to firewall restrictions on your computer.
Please check your anti-virus or firewall documentation for more information on how to view and disable firewall rules. |

What is the difference between OpenVPN and PPTP |
|
|
PPTP is popular because it is easy to configure and it was the first VPN protocol that was supported by Microsoft Dial-up Networking.
The problem is that PPTP does not provide confidentiality or strong encryption. It relies on the protocol being tunneled to provide privacy.
OpenVPN
OpenVPN is a free and open source virtual private network (VPN) program for creating point-to-point or server-to-multiclient encrypted tunnels between host computers.
OpenVPN uses the OpenSSL library to provide encryption of both the data and control channels. It lets OpenSSL do all the encryption and authentication work, allowing OpenVPN to use all the ciphers available in the OpenSSL package. Many "road warriors" or remote workers are quite happy with PPTP because it is a lighter weight protocol that is very simple to set up and use.

What protocol should i choose on my Mobile |
|

Iphone, Ipod Touch, Windows Mobile, all work with PPTP. These are very easily setup, and just a Host Name, Login and Password will have you connected. OpenVPN does not work on such devices. |

Why do i need to have encryption |

You do not need to have encryption but it cost noting to have on it dos make you mutch more secure when your online, If you have a really slow internet speed you can turn it off if you use PPTP. We do not recommend this.

1. Try to turn of your firewall as it may block it.
2. Try to turn of your virus scanner as it may block it.
3. Your ISP may block pptpd port (block vpn) so you have to use OpenVPN |
